Ans. A candidate can retake the IELTS test any number of times.

What are the pass marks for IELTS?

Ans. IELTS test doesn't have any pass marks. A candidate's performance in each module will be rated on a band scale of 1 to 9. All educational institution set their own IELTS score eligibility which to subjected to change from time to time.

What are the test dates for IELTS?

IDP facilitates pen and paper based tests up to 4 times a month for Academic Candidates. It also facilitates pen and paper based tests for GT candidates twice a month. Dates for computer based tests are not fixed.

What if I am unable to appear for the test on the registered date?

Ans. You will be marked as an absentee and the fee will not be refunded and you will get zero bands in your test.

Will I be permitted to take my personal belongings inside the examination room with me?

Ans. You are allowed to carry only pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and your passport in the examination room. Everything else like mobile phones, tabs, wrist watches and handbags must be placed in the area designated by the testing authority.

Which accents can I expect to hear in the listening test?

IELTS is an international test. Examples of accents that can be heard are American, British, Australian, Canadian and New Zealand. These are just examples and the kinds of accents heard are not just restricted to these.

Can I apply for a re-valuation?

You can apply for a re-evaluation or an Enquiry on Results in the candidate login section of IDP website not later than six weeks of the test date. You must pay an enquiry fee, which will be refunded if your bands score changes after re-evaluation.

Can I apply for a revaluation in all the four modules?

Yes, you can.
